QuickSite Setup

These instructions begin at the point
where you have just installed the QuickSite
and can see the home page. Like the image
on the left.

Login to the TYPO3 Backend

Username: admin
Password: password

Change Your Password

On the left, click on User Tools -> User Settings.
Enter a new more secure password.
After entering, click on Save Configuration to set the new password.

Set the Site URL

On the left, click on on Template.
In the page tree click on the root page of the site.
Select Contant Editor in the drop down to right.
Below that select Site Constants.
Fill in the Site URL constant.
Click the save icon at the top.

Select a Skin

Three skins ship with the Busy Noggin QuickSite: the White Wireframe skin, the T-Bone Starter skin and the Blue Demo Skin.

If you want to leave the skin as the white wireframe you can simply skip to the next section (Clearing the Cache), but here are the instructions if you want to change to one of the other skins.

After setting the Site URL, select Info/Modify from the drop down at the top
Click on Edit the whole template record
Click on the Skin Selector tab at upper right
In the top part of that tab you will see the currently selected skin (White Wireframe
Below that you will see the other available skins (Blue Demo and T-Bone Starter)
Click Select Skin next to the skin you want.
Click the save icon at top of page module.

There are additional QuickSite compatible skins in the TYPO3 Extension Repository (TER) that are produced by Web-Empowered Church (WEC). You can use "tv framework" as your search terms when locating them. Also, you can learn how to develop a custom skin to match any design at templavoila.busynoggin.com.

Clear the Cache

Now just clear the cache at the upper right of the page module. You can now go the front end of the site and see the new template.
